When we finished shooting the Black woodpeckers and others, we went to our second destination in Finland; the national park of Riisintunturi. Famous for its crown snow-load on the pine trees on the fell, causing the trees to bend under the weight, and creating a beautiful fairytale-like forest wrapped under a snowy white veil.
One day we had a big fog hanging over the fell, which gave us the opportunity to shoot this marvelous place in a new way. Very challenging! We hoped to be able to stay at night to shot the Aurora, but the eagles and other were waiting for us in Kuusamo…more about that in a next blog!
