Schedule
We leave by minibus to the Camargue. Pick-up points depend on where people live, but expect something along the Bruges–Ghent–Brussels axis. We stay overnight in a cosy and comfortable hotel-restaurant in Serrières.
Six full days of wildlife photography in the Camargue. We’ll look for herons, shorebirds, terns, grebes, bee-eaters, and more. We’ll always be in the right place at the right time – including before and after sunrise and sunset – to capture the best possible images.
We will have one last photography session, and the program will end at 10 AM. Then, we head home with a stop at a comfortable restaurant-hotel in Chaumont.
We arrive back home on the 5th.

BEAUTIFUL LIGHT
We will experience unforgettable sunrises, sunsets, and exceptional biodiversity in and on the water. We will explore the marshes and ponds, learning how to capture everything that lives there in the most interesting way possible. Under my guidance, you are guaranteed to get the most out of your photography skills.
EXCEPTIONAL BIODIVERSITY
During this hide photography trip, we will seek maximum diversity. We aim for a beautiful variety of waders in full summer plumage. The cherry on top will be the Pied Avocets! Various types of ducks, herons, gulls, and other waterbirds will also be featured. And as if that weren’t enough, we also have a good chance of spotting interesting mammals along the water’s edge… Who knows what surprise might pop up right in front of your lens?
PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP
During this workshop, we make the most of every moment and aim for a wide variety of images. We’ll experiment with different techniques, creative approaches and more. We take our time and always go for the best light. Now let’s hope for glowing evening light and stunning sunrises!
Bring the computer and peripherals that you find useful. We will provide floating hides by Mr Jan Gear.

CLIMATE AND CLOTHING
At this time of year, the weather is generally good. However, it can be very windy on the rocks, which can make it feel quite cold. That’s why we recommend wearing suitable clothing that can handle changing conditions.
If needed, we can provide a wetsuit on site, but we advise each participant to bring their own wetsuit.
ACCOMMODATION AND TRANSPORT
Our base will be a gîte in the Camargue. The accommodation is typical of the region, and the meals are delicious and well-catered. We ensure that you won’t miss anything! However, you will need to bring your own linens.
We will travel in a van from our location to the Camargue. These trips are included in the price. We choose to break outbound and return journeys with an overnight stay. This way, we can make the most of our first and last days for hide photography. Along the way, I might pull another great photoshoot out of my hat.
