COLOURFUL LANDSCAPES, TRADITIONAL CULTURE
No European country displays beauty and nature the way Bulgaria does during fall. The landscape changes constantly: from alpine mountains to free-flowing rivers, from deep canyons to vast grasslands and from ancient forests to rocky coasts and sandy beaches.
In the Balkans, time seems to stand still. A farmer with a horse and cart is a common sight here, in one of the most authentic countries of Europe.

AMAZING PHOTOGRAPHY
We travel through the Pirin, Melnik and Rhodope Mountains and descend into the valleys of the Struma and Arda river. Every day promises to be an adventure for landscape photographers. You will be immersed in scenery bursting with autumn colours. We make good use of morning and evening light, always pursuing conditions that assure the most stunning images.
In the small villages, we photograph the picturesque architecture and photogenic people of the region. We end every day with a heartfelt meal, accompanied by a good glass of local wine. I will be happy to guide you through one of my favourite countries and lift your photography to the next level!
ACCOMODATION AND TRANSPORT
We stay in small and authentic guest houses, where the owners provide us with hospitality and wonderful local cuisine.
Every 2 or 3 days, a minibus will drive us to our next destination. Some days, we will undertake longer journeys with several stops for some specific photography.
CLIMATE, CLOTHING AND GEAR
Expect a typical autumn climate with lots of changing temperatures. Morning times in the mountains can be especially cold, while temperatures during the day are generally mild. We hope for dry days, but be proactive and bring plenty of water- and wind-resistant clothing, as well as thermal underwear for chilly mornings. A warm hat and gloves always come in handy.
We park the bus close to our photo locations, but also take several walks. Light, water-resistant hiking shoes suffice, but if you want to stand in the rivers to take pictures, be sure to bring boots or overshoes.
