Snowbound smile – the Arctic fox

Captured in 2014, this Arctic fox seems to dissolve into the vast whiteness of the snow, its form almost vanishing into the expanse. Only its face remains visible, as if smiling in contentment – even though it was bracing against the force of an oncoming blizzard.

Serenity and survival: the harsh Arctic harbours both. Arctic foxes are incredibly adapted to survive the harshest conditions, with fur that changes colour to blend into both the snowy winter landscape and the summer tundra. Their compact bodies conserve heat, and they can even lower their metabolic rate to survive extreme cold, making them true masters of the Arctic environment.

The art print includes a signed Certificate of Authenticity. Due to the white borders, the actual paper size will be 6cm (2.38 inches) larger on both the width and height of the selected size. These borders will be trimmed off during the framing process.
